The 5 P’s: Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance
It is often stated in popular culture that moving (and divorce) are two of the most stressful of activities. Fortunately, Eagle Transfer’s experienced Project Managers can assist in making your relocation a “walk in the park”. (For help with a divorce you need to look elsewhere!)
It is paramount that you have a complete understanding of the inventory to be located, and the quantity and level of services your organization requires. Like any other business, an activity like this should be clearly stated in a contract along with all relevant costs.
We at Eagle Transfer always recommend holding Pre-Move meetings with you mover and the members of your company’s Move Team to ensure that everyone knows his/her responsibilities.
Always double (and triple) check to make sure elevator time is scheduled with building management. Likewise, ensure all necessary insurance documentation is on file, current, and adequate.
It is also critical that an organization has ample insurance for its inventory in the case of unforeseen events.
