Real Estate Wednesday: Office Expansions & Anchor Tenant Secured for The Spiral

There has been a lot of exciting movement in commercial real estate this past week. Young innovate companies continue to expand and occupy new office spaces, while large old organizations are becoming anchor tenants for new development. Eagle Transfer will be ready to assist in any office moves or relocations that will result from these new deals!

Blue Apron– On April 10th news broke that Blue Apron signed a 2,953-square-foot least at 456 Johnson Avenue in East Williamsburg. The new space will house the companies creative office team. Blue Apron will be occupying part of the fourth floor of the building within the next couple of months.

Knotel– Office provider Knotel has been rapidly acquiring commercial office space this past year. Most recently, Knotel signed a 12,683-square-foot lease at 224 West 30th Street in Chelsea. Last month the office space provider signed a 10-year deal to occupy the entire fifth floor of the 14-story building located in 30th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues.

Peloton– The indoor cycling company had signed a deal for 26,400 square feet of studio space and 5,700 square feet of office space at Five Manhattan West. The studio location is said to open in late 2019.

Pfizer– Tishman Speyer has secured Pfizer as a major tenant for its new Hudson Yards skyscraper and $1.8 billion in construction financing from Blackstone Mortgage Trust. Pfizer, the biopharmaceutical company has signed a 800,000-square-foot least at Tishman’s planned 65-story office building at 66 Hudson Boulevard called The Spiral.

Compass– Residential brokerage Compass is nearly tripling its office space at 10 East 53rd street after signing a 32,000-square-foot expansion deal in the Midtown building. Compass will now be occupying the entire fourth and fifth floors at the 37-story office tower.
