The holiday season is upon us!

With Thanksgiving in the rearview mirror, the holiday season is truly in full swing here in the Big Apple. With holiday train shows to winter markets and everything else in between, it’s truly a fun and magical time of the year. Here’s a quick look at just a few of the top events and activities to check out in NYC for the weekend of December 2 – 3, 2017!

Holiday Train Shows

For fans of holiday train shows, there’s no better place than right here in NYC! The Holiday Train Show at the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx offers a nearly half-mile long track that winds through 150 miniature landmarks such as the Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center. In addition, the Holiday Train Show at Grand Central Terminal features a two-level miniature version of the city famed for its attention to detail and quality. Don’t miss either one!

The Jim Henson Exhibit

Fans of The Muppets should definitely head on over to the Museum of the Moving Image at 36-01 35th Avenue in Queens to check out this popular new exhibit. Featuring nearly 50 puppets, authentic archival footage and stories about Henson’s life and career, this new exhibit is fun for people of all ages!

Winter Wonderland Staten Island

A quick ride on the Staten Island Ferry to the Richmond County Ballpark transports visitors to the popular Winter Wonderland Staten Island event. The event features an ice skating rink, games, rides, a nightly light show and a holiday market with more than 30 great vendors to discover. It’s fun for the whole family – so don’t miss out!

Origami Holiday Tree

Head over to the American Museum of Natural History on the Upper West Side of Manhattan to check out the famed Origami Holiday Tree. The tree is decorated with more than 1,000 origami artworks, making it a fun and unique way to get in the holiday spirit!

Explore the City’s Holiday Markets
