With the leaves turning and the crisp autumn air, New York City is always beautiful in October. This weekend, in particular, will be a great time to spend some time in the Big Apple. From the annual opening of the city’s architectural masterworks to the public to spooky ghost tours in some of its most historic neighborhoods, New York City has a little bit of something for everyone this weekend. Open House New York 2016
Ever want to explore the city’s architectural landmarks that are typically closed off to the public? This weekend is your perfect chance! The popular Open House New York event takes place this weekend from October 15 to October 16, offering New Yorkers and visitors alike an opportunity to explore many of the city’s most famous landmarks up close and personal. More than 275 sites will be open to the public this weekend, just a few of which include New York City Hall, Federal Hall National Memorial, the Alexander Hamilton U.S. Customs House, the Beacon Theatre, Grace Church and many others!
New additions include the Metropolitan Opera House and the construction site of the upcoming New York Wheel, one of the tallest observation wheels in the world set to open in 2018. Ultimate Greenwich Village Ghost Tour
Want to get in the Halloween spirit? There’s no better way than by going on the Ultimate Greenwich Village Ghost Tour! This popular tour explores the spooky history of the East Village and Greenwich Village neighborhoods in Manhattan. Cost is $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
