From 7AM to 1PM, the sounds of honking horns and rushing traffic will vanish for several major streets and avenue from Lower Manhattan to East 72nd Street, replaced by a haven for pedestrians and cyclists as they’re closed off to the city’s infamous traffic. In addition to providing much needed pedestrian space to enjoy, a fun variety of events and activities such as climbing walls, ziplines, waterslides and musical performances will also be available.
